Co za Piękny Dzień!!

Dzień Dobry, rodzina! It is great to write to you from this beautiful MTC!! The Spirit is seriously so strong here! I can't tell you what a blessing it is to be part of the Lord's army! I love my district! My companion is Siostra Sloan and the rest of the district is Siostra Larcade, Siostra Gustafson, and Starzy Cowley.

Our investigator is Jacek, and he is a student who wants to be a better person and have a closer relationship with his family. We have been able to teach him about prayer, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and the Restoration. It was hard to convey our feelings to him, but the Spirit was so strong in our lessons! Tomorrow will be our last lesson with him.

Being here has taught me that we need to go through the fundamentals like Jesus Christ did, and sometimes things won't go smoothly or quite the way we planned, but those terrible feelings will pale in comparison to joy we will feel in having a close relationship with Heavenly Father. May we always be standing in holy places! It is mind blowing how close our district has become in less than a week! Losing Siostra Sloan was a huge blow, but I know that she will be able to work through her trials and help her family through theirs! She is so amazing and strong! The other day, we were singing "There is Sunshine in My Soul Today" after she left. We are still recovering, but Siostra Sloan was meant to be here, even if it was so short. She is coming back in 6 months to the same mission though, and just as she will move forward, so must our district.

This Christmas, I would like you to think about what you can do to be a light in other peoples' lives, whether it be through service, or providing a kind word or two. Thank-you all so much for your wonderful letters! They bring joy to my soul!

Co za Piękny Dzień- What a beautiful day!

My First Day as A Missionary

Hey everyone! This is my first P-day as a set apart missionary. I will be leaving tomorrow with Sister Winegar for the airport, and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciated seeing you all yesterday at the open house. I have felt so much peace since being set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am not scared to leave home. This is what I was meant to do, the Lord has been preparing me my entire life for this wonderful mission. During my setting apart, President Whittier promised that the Lord would protect me as long as I was obedient to the counsel of my mission president. How beautiful to have blessings through obedience! I have felt this and I know it's true!

If the Elders had sat me down two years ago and said that I would be serving a mission for the Church, I probably would have laughed for 5 minutes straight! It is so mind boggling how much my life has improved since I was baptized. I am happier, I have acheivable goals, and I now have the will to improve my life! I have so much love for the Polish people and I know that the Spirit will help them understand their true purpose as children of G-d.

I am very happy to say that my relationship with my brother has improved tremendously, and I honestly never thought that would happen! There have been trials with my family and our ties have been tested, but this was all part of Heavenly Father's plan to challenge us to stay together. Working at the temple has increased my testimony of eternal families. When Elder Alo said that the Church is all about families, the Spirit testified that he was telling the truth. The Book of Mormon and the Bible combined are sacred treasures Heavenly Father has given us to be able to endure. I encourage you to read them and apply their principles to your life.

Do Widzenia!

The Call

I apologize that this first post will be so short. I have my last day of working at the temple tomorrow and I don't want to be groggy. What an honor to serve the people of Poland! Never in a million years would I have thought that Heavenly Father had this plan for me, and there are people around the world in similar situations, searching for what is true and right. Even though I never got the chance to be taught by Sisters, I am so grateful to have been blessed with the most awesome Elders! Alo, Farnsworth, Thorpe, Callister, Kozub, Snyder, Do, Latu, Ete, Pinkerton. I love them so much!! I love missionary work and I have a testimony that it is the greatest in the world!
